Are you looking for a challenge later this year, to prevent boredom setting in at the end of the rowing season?
If so, then the Thames Challenge may be for you! It is a 50km or 100km walk, jog or run along the beautiful Thames River, from Putney to Henley, taking place on 14/15th September 2013. Joy Skipper, an MAABC member, is looking for people to take part and raise funds for Community Projects Africa, a very worthwhile charity with which she has been involved for many years (see http://www.communityprojectsafrica.org/).
You can take part in teams (5+ will receive event merchandise if running for Community Projects Africa), or as an individual. There are separate start times for walkers and runners, with pace walkers, medics, and plenty of fun along the way!
You may also be interested to know that this is a 2 point qualifying event for The North Face Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc 2014!
CPA are offering a free T-shirt with their new logo to all those people that sign up by 1st June, PLUS a nutritional assessment by Enjoy Nutrition (www.enjoynutrition.co.uk).
