It had been over 20 years since MAA won an Open event. And on Saturday Dan and Cai did exactly that. In a field of 11 crews for Open 2x at Twickenham they won their three rounds comfortably, confirming the progress the guys made on our camp in Spain. Well done them!
The Women’s E4x also won, in a field of 6 crews, while Miranda won two rounds and narrowly lost the final in Women’s E1x.
Next weekend it’s the Senior Women’s turn – racing at the Metropolitan Regatta at Dorney on both Saturday and Sunday in a mix of 4x and 8s and a chance to test their speed against their opposition for Henley Women’s and Henley Royal. More anon!
