Many congratulations to Jen Bailey, who successfully negotiated some challenging conditions to finish in a time of 25 min 34 secs and win the Women’s Novice pennant by 49 seconds.
Jen was greeted back to the shore by jubilant squad mates and appropriately showered in bubbly. The boat Jen used, a near 20 year old empacher, was donated to the club by the widow of former club coach Geoffrey Potts, who himself had raced very successfully in that boat for many years. You did Geoffrey proud Jen.
Results from all club members were highly creditable and showed the benefits of racing in the TSS sculling ladder. Well done all!
