Roy Lendrum – RIP

Roy Lendrum, one of our long-standing Honorary Vice-Presidents, passed last Wednesday following a period of ill health culminating in pneumonia, whilst under treatment in Northwick Park Hospital. Roy had been unable to attend the club again after celebrating his 85th birthday, together with John Hart and John (Tub) Bryant whose birthday it was too (as in picture below) and had been pretty well house bound for the last five years, being looked after at home by his younger brother, Colin. Boat-naming for Ken Williams

Ken Williams was a highly valued member of MAABC who died in 2018. To show appreciation for him as an active member and Vice President a new pair was named Ken Williams on 12th November. Ken’s daughter Zoe christened the boat and his son Russell said a few words. The boat naming included many former members of Horseferry Rowing Club where Ken was a member before he joined MAABC.
