The Mortlake fleet
At the Ibis boathouse we have a full complement of boats catering for the varying weights and abilities of oarsmen and women, from beginners through to Veterans. Some boats, however, are 'out of bounds' if, for example, they are being used by a regular/competitive crew or are for top competition only. Other boats are for beginners only, juniors only, veterans only, women only, etc. Please check with the captain or vice captains as to which boats you may use. Not all members can use all boats!

In brief, and starting with the smallest, we have a fleet of Club-owned single sculls, suitable for beginners through to racers. Next we have a selection of double sculls and pairs, some "restricted" for absolute beginners. A unique boat in our fleet is a fine triple scull, built to order and put to good use as a training scull.

Coming to fours, we have a wide selection of coxed, un-coxed, sweep-oar and sculls. These are also in different weights for differing crews. Last, but not least, eights, and here again we have a range of boats suitable for men's crews, women's crews, novice crews etc.

Racking
We have five bays of boats inside the club house and further boats stored on outside racks at the back and side of the club. Boats must always be returned to the rack they came from. Boats racked outside must be firmly tied to the racks using a proper boat tie with a metal 'cam' buckle (not just old rope). The boat must not move on the rack once it is tied down.

Sculling boat racks
Members wanting to rack a boat at MAABC must apply in writing to the club (for the attention of Ken Williams) and will be added to the waiting list. Alternatively email your letter to Ken Williams. Rack rents for singles are £140 for a covered rack and £110 for an uncovered rack. Other boats by arrangement if space available.

Private equipment
Privately owned boats and equipment are not to be used by anyone, under any circumstances, without the prior agreement of the owner.

Private boat registration
Members that own their own boat must apply a registration number to it, in order to comply with the new ARA regulations. One number will be applied to your boat and the other number will be tucked into a shoe and must be applied to the opposite side of the boat immediately before its next outing. Boats for sale
With a programmed update of our boats we often have boats for sale. We have made many clubs and colleges happy with our surplus equipment at reasonable prices.
